Co-founded with Lois Williams in 1991 as a collaboration between local faith communities, neighborhood associations, local businesses, and local residents to help homeless neighbors rebuild their lives. Friendship Place is now the premier housing and service provider for people experiencing homelessness in the DC region. Its innovative, customized, person-focused programs empower participants to rebuild their lives, find homes, get jobs and reconnect with friends, family and the community, permanently.
