Women Leading Change
A milestone global gathering, co-sponsored by the Rockefeller and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundations, called “Women Leading Change (WLC): Conversations on Faith & Gender Equality” was staged virtually in March 2022. It emerged out of the 2021 17 Rooms initiative, with the goals of spotlighting the worldwide extent and diversity of women’s leadership for change in gender equality in faith contexts, capturing best practices and connecting women and advocates from across the globe. Jean served as Project Advisor.
Welcoming the Stranger, Shaping the Future
On June 20 and 21 2022, Lutheran World Federation joined with Islamic Relief Worldwide and HIAS, the Jewish Humanitarian organization to organize an international conference focused on supporting faith-based organizations at the frontlines of the refugee response. Jean served as Senior Advisor on conference design and learning exchange.
