17 Rooms

A partnership between the Rockefeller Foundation and the Center for Sustainable Development at Brookings, 17 Rooms is an experimental method for advancing the economic social and environmental priorities embedded within the SDGs. In 2021 and 2022 Jean provided leadership to two of the rooms –Room 5 on Gender and Room 17 on Partnerships.

Room 5
2021 explored ways to accelerate the positive influence of faith on achieving SDG Goal #5 Gender Equality .Together with Blessing Omakwu at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Jean co-chaired discussion among group of experts leading to the development of an action agenda.

2022
Room 17
2022 explored ways in which increased cross sector collaboration between faith and secular worlds could accelerate achievement of climate goals. Together with Rudelmar Bueno de Faria at ACT Alliance, Jean co-chaired discussion among a group of experts leading to 4 action priorities and the launch at COP27 of a new multi-sector alliance for climate action.
